I'll take on the buying of the wreath for the service.

Does anyone know what SFN's favorite flower was?

    Color was?

Not to be sexist but if you're a female who knew her you probably have more of an idea and feel free to go with me and my g/f to help choose an appropriate one.

I'm a big connoisseur of flowers, sometimes I buy them for my girlfriend for myself. Go ahead make your wise cracks.

I'm sure I'll pick something out that will please everyone.

It wont be too big, because those are tacky.

If people are concerned I can post some pictures of some that I'll be close to looking like but I'll pick the flowers myself so it probably will look only vaguely similar.

If anyone can give me an idea of what she prefers I'd appreciate it.

Again any flower shops that anyone can recommend that are local to where the service will be held would be appreciated.

If you know someone that is in the business PM me.

Rich, is it okay if I take this on? You're the admiral here..

I see that this is the approriate thread to post this in now..

BTW: I moved your other post over to here. The other thread is really just for the website.

Yes Scott had a daughter from his first marriage and from what I have been told (by people that know) is that she was loved by Meleanie like one of her own and was at all the family functions.

So yes there are 4 children 'hurting' right now, 4 children that need love and help for many years to come .... AND we can not fault Scott's daughter in this, she is a victim too.

I will contact a cousin whom I haven't had contact with in some time but the last I knew she had a florist operation(if it's still of any help). She's not local I don't know if that's an issue.
I can't make promises, but I will try.

    Also: future thought.

Again I’m out of my element, but perhaps some type of NRA youth activity in SFN’s name, or any such activity regardless of affiliation.

I don't know anybody personally, so this is just a FYI for you

I'm not sure what I can help with, but I am local. Feel free, anybody, to PM me if you need local running done.

This is an excellent point, Dave. Let's not visit the sins of the father upon the daughter. She should be included, too. Hell, in some pretty obvious ways, she has it worse off than Meleanie's kids do. Still, loss is loss from the kid's perspective, and they should all be beneficiaries of our communal generosity.

    Meleanie's children are 2,6, and 10 correct?
Which are boys and which are girls?
We would like to know where to send them to.
We would like to just put on them from Santa if this is Ok?
I know this is early but Cindy and I need to do something to ease our minds. This has us both extremely upset and is as much for our therapy as help for Meleanie's children

We will volunteer to help what ever way we can. Just let us know what you need us to do.

I'd be willing to help out with this. I did this type of thing a long time ago on my own to help some local needy families in the Pocono's. I'm not rich, but I'll do what I can.
