When shooting turkeys with a single projectile you have to aim for the vitals. A turkeys vitals are located in the "lower end", between the hips. Think of where everything is when you clean one, in the large open cavity at the rear end. So I tend to wat for side shots in the waist/hip/thigh area. The leg meat is tough as hell on those wild birds anyway. You can do as you see fit but that is just my opinion.
