    Default Lock N Load Presses

I plan on buying a Lock N Load Progressive Press in the fall. Does anyone know if the dies can be used on their single stage press without adjusting them?

I've been loading on an RCBS Jr. single stage for over 20 years.

    Jack,

I have a Hornday LNL AP press and can say they are solid machines. You will like the bushings when you swap out calibers. Hornady did have a deal where if you bought their press, you could get 1k of free bullets. I'm not sure if the offer is still available.

I know you can send in the rebate untill the end of 2007, which reminds me I need to send mine in.

The only issue I have w/ my LNL AP is it dosen't like to eject loaded 9mm rounds that well.

Sorry I cant help w/ the die swap & adjustment question

    aubie515 & MtDew,

    Thanks,

I plan on taking advantage of the free bullet deal. Another incentive to buy before the end of the year. I burn up a fair amount of 45 ACP.
I figured I would buy their dies for the unit as well leaving my RCBS sets for the single stage press. Using a progressive to work up loads is a bit of overkill.

I also noticed that on the last stage that the loaded round can get caught up. I believe it's because of the coiled spring. Hornady doesn not consider this part of the warranty and you must purchase them. I ended up buying 5 more, so I'd have extras.

I went with the 230gr XTP bullets because it was the best bullets on the list.

They do have a conversion bushing you screw into your single stage press that uses the LNL bushings.

I e-mailed Hornady, and they couldn't or didn't answer the question.
I hoped to be able to swap a set of aligned dies from press to another without adjustment being needed.

I would find it amazing if they would swap from a LNL to an RCBS, but if need be I would purchase a Hornady single stage if it would work. I guess I'm trying to circumvent buying duplicate dies. Plus adjusting the locking rings is a real pain in the arse.

I loaded up 200 .357 rounds yesterday, talk about shooting an afternoon!
