I realize that they're trying to secure compliance from people who aren't supposed to have firearms any longer, but is it really necessary to lie in the process?

very interesting. the 2nd one represents the DOJ telling the PSP that their sales database is illegal (on both the federal and state levels)...

does anyone know if anything ever came of that? was there any follow-up on the letter?

Look it over, both of them, reading them is worthwhile. The second isn't so much of a lie as it is the federal government agreeing with everything that has been said by gunnies about PA's "firearms registry/non-registry."
