I'd like to say thanks to PA Patriot and anyone else that may have been involved in the making of this flyer.

This is VERY IMPORTANT information that anyone that carries a firearm should possess.

You try and do something nice for folks and this is the type of response you get.

Aren't there enough threads for you to spew your not well though out opinion of oc vs. cc without polluting a thread that is simply here as a resource for people that ARE interested in the content?

If your not interested, the polite and gentlemanly response would be to just ignore the flyer you have no use for.

Also, it is a flyer for OC AND CC.
hahaha so true. when will these people realize it is not about one or the other- if you like concealed do that, if you like open do that, if you mix it up do that- it is about EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS. they were not put in place for no reason. plus i feel that most if not all who practice OC partially view it as a reminder to all including themselves of our rights and or responsibilities to our communities.

Make love not war. Be prepared for both.

Thanks so much for this info. My wife and I are new ccw in Ohio. We travel to PA and NY and WV. This is a very informative and interesting site. I wonder about having your concealed (in the car), in New York. I looked but havent found yet. From what I understand we can carry in your car and only in your car if you have a permit from any state. What about in your hotel room to and from your car. It sounds like we can apply in PA and pay $25.00 for the permit and wait to see if the back ground check works. Any info I can research?

NY is not pretty when it comes to handguns.

You can only have a handgun in your car in NY is:
    1) You are a NY resident with a unrestricted license or a restricted license traveling to or from activities allowed by the restricted license.

    2) LEO/etc

    3) Nonresident: You are transporting UNLOADED, gun and ammo separated, to a "NRA sanctioned match"

    4) You are passing through NY under the federal peaceable journey/gunowners protection act (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearm...Protection_Act). As in, from a place that the gun is allowed, to a state that the gun is legal. Also not stopping in NY and handgun must be unloaded, ammo separate, etc.

That is Pa. law. Only applicable in Pa. (or states with similar provisions) NY is not one of those states

Thank you very much for your help and quick response. I read it that night and then got to reading the blog about the two girls who got arrested for carry in the bar. I didn't find the link on how it ended yet. But thanks again. I have just got my concealed carry and am trying diffrent guns out.

I'm still confused about where I may carrying concealed. Public areas, i.e. stores, malls, bars, movie theaters....etc. Is there Anyone out there that can help me?

All of the areas you mention are legal to CC in (in Pennsylvania), unless you have notice from property owners/agents that they disallow firearms on the premises.
