    Default Land in Berks county

I am looking to buy a hunting cabin in the hills of Berks County. Can anyone give me some leads to work with? I have tried the realtors but they only want to sell houses on large lots. I'm looking for a small lot with or without a cabin. Thanks for the help.

Berks is a poor choice for a hunting cabin........nothing left here to hunt!!!

Maybe at the base of the Blue Mountain there might be some small plots of land that would be suitable for a hunting cabin.

There's a place that's been for sale about a year now, 10 acres, with a house on it. It's right at the base of the mountain on RT 645. (If you head north and miss the hard right to go up the mountain, you'll hit it)
Last I saw they wanted $500,000.

Berks is building up, land is going up. I'm sure if you look hard enough you may find something. I'm sure you would have better luck farther north or west.

Whatever. Berks is loaded with deer. I killl deer in a patch of borough land next to my house 50yds off the main road.Get a bow/crossbow. Get creative. You don't need to be in the "mountains" to kill a deer. You got to get in the small patches and wooded developments.I can smoke a cigar and chat with friends on my mother-in-laws porch in pricetown while herds of deer watch from 40-50 yds away. They have a tolerance of people.
