Default Remington 870 does not eject well

I bought a Remington 870 HD recently to upgrade from Maverick 88 and am less than thrilled with the fact that it does not spit out the spents with nearly the authority of the much cheaper Maverick. They are almost only falling out of the ejection port. Does anyone know if this is normal or is there an at home fix? Thanks Brian

How are you pumping it? I've noticed if you keep the 870's leaned over and pump them softly, they sometimes fall right back in. If you're really pumping it and having problems, it could be that you got a batch of shells where the plastic was a little long, so they're hanging up, or most likely have an ejector problem. Could be some junk in the ejector, or could be a bad spring. Let me know and we'll see if we can get it fixed.
