Default How long of a wait for Berry's and Precision Delta Bullets?

Anybody have an idea what the shipping times are with these companies? I ordered 2k rds of 9mm 124 gr FMJ from PD on 8/11 and haven't heard anything. PD is a great company and super cheap but they are a little stingy on information. Just ordered 1k from Berry's today hoping they might come in quicker.

All I can say is Precision DElta treated me well eough. I ordered 2k of 9mm 115gr in May, and after two or three weeks I called them and spoke with a lovely young lady for a number of minutes about their processes and production, we chatted about the weather, and in less than two weeks, the bullets were at my door. 5 weeks, MAX, form order to loading.

    YMMV.

An order of .40 RS 155 grain from Berry's was delivered in 2 weeks. Unless I hit the caliber at the right time.

I was answering the posters question with what I experienced. I called them in late July to ask about my May order and the lady said they were "months" behind do to the large volume of orders. A co-worker also ordered and was told the 45 ammo would not be made until Aug. when I ordered it in May but she never told me that. I can understand back order but they can update their web site hourly if they want to, ... so why not let us know what the delay is when we go on the site to order? IMHO it would be good business to let your customers know if there are delays in shipment and what the customer can expect as a delivery date.

I sent PD an email last week asking for a delivery date on my 124gr 9mm FMJ bullets. I got an email back the same day telling me they switched over to 115gr and 124 gr wouldn't be ready til late fall. I asked if they could switch my order to 115's and I was told they should ship in 7-10 days. I guess you really should call and find out what they are currently producing to get the quickest delivery time. PD is the cheapest place I have seen for bullets customer service seems really good but you have to ask questions.

I'll let you know when my bullets from Berrys come in to compare the two. They were $12/1000 more than PD but you don't have to buy them 2k rds at a time.

    Precision Delta's 115gr FMJ 9mm are $68 shipped
    Berry's Plated 115gr 9mm are 80.88 shipped
Mastercast 115gr TMJ are $88.30 plus flat rate box shipping of about $12.

They have good prices on re-manufactured ammo, but for bullets, PD is hands down the cheapest.

Visited Cabelas in Hamburg tonight. They have lots of Berrys Bullets in stock for 9mm, .40 & .45. I got 250, .45 230gr RN for $35.99. They have several weights in each cal. in stock.
.45 cal bullet choices in other makes of bullets is pretty slim, though, as is powder & primers. They do have some bulk brass.
