Who's going out for first day of archery?

Got the bow shot in, broadheads sharp, camo clean, and great day of hunting planned for tomorrow! To those who are not in the early season WMU's and tomorrow is your opening day aswell, be safe, and enjoy your day.

First day was a let down here, 3.5 mile hike in to sit no deer, move, sit no deer, move, sit no deer, so on so forth. Didn't see a single tail, but if you think I'm pissed, nope, I've got all season baby, and as they say bad day in the woods is better than good day at work!

yeah mine was... bleh

Got out in the woods (on public land!) and saw one 6 point about 50 yards out... damn

then my brother texts me that he got a 7 pointer, we looked for it for about 5 hours, and I went back today... deer isn't down.

based on the blood trail I'm guessing he hit a little high and back, missed the first lung, barely nicked the second lung, really great blood trail and then it just completely stopped cold after one big final spot, so I'm guessing it clotted up and that 7 pointer is still running around going "Dude look at this shit, another 1/8 of an inch and I would have been a gooner!"

Went back out in the afternoon and see 4 doe standing underneath my stand (which is ironically about 15 yards from the last blood we found with my bros deer), they knew I was there but weren't spooked, they just walked away calmly.

what a fricken week (think thats a new thread)
