Re: smooth bore shot gun with bead sight
Most can be drilled & tapped to add "rifle" sights, ..if it isn't already.. It will depend on your individual gun and it's barrel thickness.

Re: smooth bore shot gun with bead sight
Why wouldn't you just buy a new barrel? I don't think you'd shoot a slug through a shot barrel? I'm no shotgun expert, but you'd want a rifled barrel for slugs?

Rifled slugs in smooth bore, Sabot slugs in rifled barrel.

Midway and Brownell's sell iron sights that can be braised or silver soldered to the barrel.

Re: smooth bore shot gun with bead sight
You can get rifle sights for a shotgun barrel but you don't necessarily need them. Take the gun out and shoot some slugs using the bead front sight and see where your aiming point happens to be and what kind of groups you get. For deer, as long as you can put them in the area the size of a small paper plate you would be good to go. If you're using a shotgun you're not going to be shooting long distance so the bead front may work just fine.

Re: smooth bore shot gun with bead sight
Any competent gun smith can easily install irons on a shotty. Just make sure after that none of the screws are protruding into the barrel. If you have a rib you can always use the aftermarket "snap-on" or Magnetic sights. They make both front and rear.
