Why are their even moderators here?

The amount of police bashing has risen to a new high. This site has become a free for all for the tin hat crowd. The LEO community is not our enemies. Posts here by a small vocal crowd will do more damage than good. Moderators need to do more to steer debate to a civil tone vs. the vicious attacks happening on an hourly basis here.

if the mods do anything, they should probably demand that you start supporting your vague accusations by citing specific instances so a real debate (regarding whether what you call cop-bashing is really cop-bashing) can take place.

Discussing LEO procedures, actions and methods is not against the rules. This applies whether one is praising them or criticizing them. It applies to individual LEO's, spcific departments or LEO's in general.

If you see a post that violates the forum rules, as it may relate to a LEO dicussion thread, such as a poster engaging in personal attacks, please hit "report post". I will add that I have not seen any such reports recently from the OP of this thread.

Mods are not sitting at the computer reviewing every post, or even every thread. If there is a legitimate problem we will intervene, but we may not know about the problem if folks do not "report post"

I would also like to point out that just because the moderators don't moderate the way you want them to, does not mean they are not moderating.
