    Default Stainless Steel

Well, I finally said screw it and drove to the Game Commision range in Waterford and was able to stomach 25 rounds out of my new .357 snubby (will practice with .38's from now on instead of .357 rounds LOL). But I have never owned a firearm with a stainless steel finish and was wondering about the carbon stains on the front of the cylinder. Will a brass brush harm my finish? Is there a suggested method of removing these stains?

www.miraclecloth.com this is what I used to clean the burn rings on the front of my super redhawk cylinder face. It worked like a champ.

Lemon smell is a lot better than some of those solvents we use to clean our firearms.

If it's SS, you should be able to just use a papertowel and wipe off the carbon.

    Funny, I use 'em too!
They last a long time. I use it to polish the brass on my black powder revolver.

I sort of just wipe it off with solvent and don't worry about a bit of carbon discoloration.

Flitz cloth works good also, can be picked up at Sportsmens Warehouse, Bass Pro, Cabelas, other places. Just be careful if using around a blued firearm as it can take the bluing off if you're not careful.

Been using Kleen Bore Lead Away gun cleaning cloth for my SuperRedhawk and it works very well removing all the carbon on the cylinder face.
