Default help me pick a .40

Was looking for some input. I was @ my local shop today and liked the S&W MP .40 and the XD .40. Both fit my hand very well. Looking to spend under $600 if possible. ( xd was 485 sw was 550ish)

Want something very accurate. Open to other suggestions. Both were the 4". I would like the 5" but want to CC and they look really big in 5".

My current carry is a CZ P0-1 and love it but want a .40 too.

Thanks in advance for your input.

The best .40 cal pistol ever made bar none is the SiG 229, and it fits your criterior very well, a new one will run you about $800 though, However a cpo one is well within your price range.

Personally i find the both the m@P and xd disgustingly ugly pistols, no class no taste whatsoever, on the other hand your Cz is a sexy classy Pistol why not just get one in .40?

I have a Glock 23 & like it. They're not perfect, but they work.

Yea sorry I wasn't clear, I meant the P229. I like M&P's too just prefer Sigs. I hate XD's, I think they are ugly and feel horrible.

If you like the XD-40 go with it. I have the XD-45 compact. It's a great weapon. On the other hand I would recommend the Sig Sauer P229 I also own one too! That is my carry sidearm, but the cost may be a factor since you want to stay under 600.00 Don't think you can go wrong with either.
