    What strikes me is not the prices, but that these guns are offered via mail order. Just send them a check and and they'll deliver it to your house. We have pissed away our liberty.

    Those Colt 1911`s were used at 36.75. I used a couple inflation calculators and it was still a good deal as that`s about 270.00 in todays money. The ad also says ammo 45acp for 1.50 for 24 rounds. That`s over 10 bucks for 24 in todays money.

    Average family income was $5,000 a year. I remember back in 86 I almost bought a M60 with spare barrel unfired in the box for $4,500.
