    Default My Retro AR-15

I finally pieced together my retro AR-15.

    My "M16A1" clone....

It took about 6 months to gather up the parts, restore the stock, and pick up an NDS16A1 lower receiver that has the correct "M16A1" dimensions. Thanks to Xringshooter for doing the FFL transfer on the lower.

you do not see very many ar15's, that don't have all kinds of crap hanging off them.
not only that, but you ''reverse'' engineered it so that it 'looks'' old as well as simple looking.

    that's double points for you.
it's only metal, we can out think it....

Wow, is that what they used in the civil war?
I don't know how they managed back then... no optics, no accessory rails, non-adjustable stock...

Nice job, you will turn some heads with that one.

    Arrrg,

Nice looking gun. Only thing I would think about is changing out the flash hider for a 3 pronger.

All you need now is one of the grips that has "Mattel" embossed on it.

(seriously, look it up... some made it to the troops with it on it)

    Numba 1 gun, Joe!

I made one up same-same, I have a 3 prong C-ration opener flash hider, and a non-trap door butt stock but I'm using the closed cage and the butt stock w/door for the retro cleaning kit as well.

If I get an AR-15, that's how I want it, I love that pure look to it.
