    Default Vintage pump shotgun

I am looking for an older model pump shotgun, preferably 12g to go with my collection, which consists of Win model 24 sxs 12g 1949, Beretta bl-4 o/u 12g 1968, and the misses has Savage Fox B sxs 20g.
I take these out skeet shooting usually 2-3 times a year, so they're not wall hangers.
Any thoughts on what to look for, as I don't currently have a model in mind? I have my eye on a H&R Topper model 88 12g as my single barrel/single shot, and a Mossburg 500A as the pump, but this might be too new for me!
    Thanks
    Ray

Winchester Mdl 97, Winchester Mdl 12 or Remington Mdl 17 or 31.

remington made the models 10 and 29, which were nearly identical to the ithaca guns in that they were bottom feed and ejection. i had one of the model 10's, but sold it years ago.

just recently bought a marlin 19, which is based on the marlin 98 series. these guns have an action similar to what you see on a marlin 93 rifle, in that the bolt is flush with the right side of receiver face. they have a bad rep for bolts not locking up correctly and coming back through shooter's faces, but this is related to parts failure which can be tested for. marlin issued a "do not shoot" notice on this entire series in 1947, but lots of cowboy action shooters use them if the rule makers allow.
