Default What is the strangest thing you've eaten?

So as I sit here watching Andrew Zimmern eat porcupine which is actually one of the less strange things I've seen him consume, I wonder what kind of strange, exotic, or unusual things we more normal guys & gals have eaten.

I don't think I've eaten anything that falls into the strange or exotic categories, but my wife thinks I'm wierd for eating gator, craw daddies, mako, emu, clover, dandelion, rose petals and milk that is even one hour past the date on the bottle. I also swallowed a marble once but that was an accident

I had a friend who used to eat mealworms, now that struck me as strange.
Another friend told me about eating what he thought were chocolate chip pancakes, then his wife came running in to tell him to stop eating because the syrup was full of ants! LOL

If given the opportunity I'll try just about anything (with the exception of male genitals of any creature aka no Rocky Mountain Oysters for this guy! I also don't particulary want to try anything dog like).
Still waiting to try some groundhog since I hear Fingers80002 has a great recipe.
I was also reading some crow recipes online tonight... sounds yummy.

At a reenactment we once ate a Dura flame log

In the dark someone thought is was a loaf of hard bread and cut it up with dinner.

Having been to a few places out of the states......... Dog, not bad, Cat, not good, Mule, good, Horse, good, very young pig, good. Crocodile and Alligator, can be good or taste like fishy chicken, eel, three or four kinds, not bad. Groundhog, get a young one, they get a very gamey taste when they get older. Coon, good but very fatty. Opossum, fatty but not bad. And some other thing I'm not sure of but they went good with beer.

I don't care what critter I ever try to eat, the strangest thing I've had was rose flavored ice cream. Let's put it this way, it's been over 30 years since I tasted it and I still know the flavor. Well that and tomato aspic.

Although I didn't know what it was at the time I have eaten monkey and dog. Actually neither one was that bad. Oh yea, also water buffalo.
