Default Convicted felon but want to own and carry.

Ill come right out and say 5 years ago I got into some trouble..I broke into someone house and stole a computer..I have a felony 2 of criminal trespass on my record..

I'm not a trouble maker and I respect firearms and am always safe.

But I really like to own a pistol and a few other guns..Not to mention i want to hunt.

I started looking into a governor pardon..But that takes a while and costs $5000 and theres only a 30% of getting it..I don't have that type of money to waste.

I tried to buy a handgun a few months ago and got turned down. Is there anything I can do to get my rights back to own a gun.
Any advice would be great. Guns have always been a hobby of mine.

Well, you've already written off your best chance at getting things straightened out, and publicly admitted to being in violation of the law. Don't think there's much else the crowd here can offer.

I can't add anything either. As far as I know the only way to get a felony erased would be to get a pardon, but I am not a lawyer.

The short and sweet of it is that In Pa. the only way to have your firearms rights restored after a felony is a pardon by the governor.

On the bright side... For hunting, take up archery. It's more rewarding anyway, IMO.

There's a gun lawyer on this site who might be able to contribute something helpful.

I wonder if getting your record exponged would be enough? I really don't know. Good luck though.

Lots of "questionable" people asking about firearms ownership lately........

I've noticed that also. Not that I'm implying there's anything tricky going on, it's just odd to see and does make one think.
