Need a Gunsmith in Mechanicsburg area
Can anybody recommend a gunsmith in this area?
I took my 1908 Colt .380 Pocket Hammerless out to the SGL range north of Carlisle last weekend and had lots of FTF problems with it. I hadn't fired it in more than 10 years, but cleaned it up, lubed it, and replaced the slide spring with one from Numrich.
Rather than play around with it, I'd like a qualified gunsmith to take a look.

Rich over at Bass Pro is really good too, he used to have a shop over between Sterretts Gap and Shermans Dale on 34, got tired of the business end of it and went over to Bass Pro. I've always been very satisfied with his work, whether in his shop or at BPS.

Re: Need a Gunsmith in Mechanicsburg area
Sorry to hear that....Rich was a very good gunsmith....I haven't talked to him in a year or so....He started out with his brother Walt who already had a shop in Shermansdale till his brother had a medical problem and had to retire....I haven't stopped to see him in quite sometime either...You got me thinking I should....Thanks

Let me know if you track him down. Anybody who can remove a live round with a welding rod that had pushed the bullet down into the round and lodged between the bullet and case neck is someone I need to keep in contact with
