im not a legal adviser but details are better. did you do any jailtime? if so howlong? what "assault" happened? BAC? details help people figure things out for you.

Re: help plz!..can i restore my permit
good advice.
personally, though, i wouldn't spend a whole lot of money on one. my guess is that having been convicted of assaulting a police officer (especially only a few years ago) is pretty much going to be an insurmountable hurdle to getting an LTCF.
but, i dunno.F*S=k

sorry to say, but with that track record..
you don't need a lawyer...
you need divine intervention.==============
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”
~Samuel Adams
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it."
~Thomas Jefferson, 1791

PA 18 2701 Simple Assault is a 2nd degree misdemeanor...that said...you got off lucky. Assault on a police officer is Aggravated assault...which in case against LEO is 2nd degree felony.

Join an organization and start fund raising for the governor, get to know him and make the donations hefty. Explain to him after you've given him several 10's of thousand in donations that you made a terrible mistake when you were younger and that you really feel bad about it, and you've done everything you can to become a model citizen, and you need him to clean your record.
