    Thumbs up new loads for 45-70

    just wanted to say thanks to knight for your info . cut the load back from 62 grains to 60 grains and this is what i got.the tight groups are what i ended up with. the wild shos are what i had with original loads.this 100 yards

    Which powder and bullet combination did you use with that charge weight?

    i used remington 300 grain hollow point over 60 grains of h335 powder. chart calls for minnimum charge of 62 grains but i dropped it another 2,and ended up with these results

    Kinda proves the old line in almost every reloading manual: "Best accuracy is usually obtained at less than maximum listed loads", doesn't it?
