This is great news! Excellent reporting, an outstanding story, and it included strong federal support for the right of citizens to Openly Carry!

What was that? No... It is not "Case Law".

Shut up! I said - it is not "Case Law"!! It was a "decision" - and a darn logical, lawful and reasonable one at that.

"Case Law" would have been where the judge made something previously illegal 'legal' (or vice versa), or where the judge created some new type of 'policy' or 'procedure' where no such thing existed before.

In this case, the cops "broke the law". The judge "ruled" that the cops "broke the law" and explained where and why and how they "broke the law" (citing laws, and judicial 'precedent', that already existed). The judge then refused to apply 'immunity' to the cops and explained why, in this case, they were not entitled to it - which they were not. Simply - no 'new laws' created here - so, no "Case Law" exists here.

So - shut up with the darn "Case Law can be a good thing" stuff already - this is not "Case Law" - blast it!

"Importantly, no theater employee ever ordered Mr. St. John to leave. The police apparently simply decided to act as agents of the movie theater to enforce a private rule of conduct and not to enforce any rule of law."

Yea....fail....someone had to have called them I guess? Were they watching the movie?

No, really, not meaning to be a wiseguy and all that. Really, no reports recently? No problems, elsewise we would have seen something here.

In six years of open carry, I have yet to have an issue with any law enforcement personnel. The only people who've given me crap have been private citizens who either didn't know the law or had an agenda.

And then there is this mess: http://reason.com/blog/2017/01/31/ar...-dangerous-whe

from the ever-infringing 4th circuit court of appeals. Basically says that at least as far as police stops go, "armed" is functionally the same thing as "armed and dangerous"

There was a lot wrong with the original plaintiff, but as usual the libtard court took things much farther.
