One of my co-workers made a traffic stop over the weekend. I guess the driver wasn't too happy about being stopped. He began his rant that he was ivy league educated (Harvard or Yale, can't remember) and that we really had no business stopping someone of his stature driving a Nissan. We should be stopping the people driving pick-ups with gun racks in the windows.

My co-worker is new to the job and kept his cool. He didn't let the guy rile him up. He just gave him his citation and the phone number to the barracks so Mr. Ivy could contact the supervisor. Mr. Ivy actually called the supervisor while the citation was being written to complain about such barbaric treatment of such a refined gentleman as himself.

It is fortunate for him that he had a young guy. I can only imagine how I may have responded to his slight, as I drive a pick-up sans racks (not rifles) as do many of the "pond scum" that I work with.
