I like to do group classes in the 40-50ppl range, but as a minimum, I'd need 20ppl. The cost of the class is $85.00 per person.

If someone can secure a location for me for free, their class is on me. I don't want to have to rent a hotel conference room for hundreds of dollars. All I really require is tables, chairs and a restroom for students. I dont need any fancy A/V set-ups or a range.

Just keep this thread going and let's see where I can get this in on my calendar and I'd be happy to come up there. I have a Pa. LTCF just burning a hole in my wallet and I haven't taken it for a walk yet, hah!

I actually think my mother might even be interested in this. I'm going to try to make it up to one of my clubs and put a sign up or something.

Went to my one club, made up a simple sign advertising the class and to contact me for info.

Also, I'm fairly certain that one way or the other I could get the location for us. I have several places in mind, including the club I was at tonight.

Just me and possible 1-2 more. They aren't etched in stone.

I've had no responses from the word I've passed around. I even hung up a sign in one of the clubs.

That Florida permit is looking better and better.

That Florida permit is also going to cost a ton of money in the long run compared to the Utah permit.

I don't think it does.... I'm not fully versed on this, but if I'm correct, it costs $100-$110 to get the Florida permit, and your done. You have to do the leg work on the paper work, prints, and picture...but that's on you. They get around $100 bucks.

The Utah one, you have to pay for the class AND the permit. So you probably have like ... $150-$200 in the end. Plus, the Utah one takes longer to receive from what I hear. The Utah takes like 3 months to receive, and the Florida takes about a month.

Like I said, not well versed, so I could be wrong on all of that...but from what I think I know, its cheaper. The advantages to the Utah are the extra firearm/law training under your belt, and the 2 different states (can't remember what they are. If you happen to need those specific states). Florida is quicker, easier, and cheaper. Plus, if you can't get the Utah class....like us right now...you don't have a choice. You can't get it. So it wouldn't matter if the Florida WAS more expensive.

I would rather have the Utah permit. Maybe after the holidays we could post this on a more frequented section of the forum and try to pull people from other areas.
