    Absolutely NO!

Its frigging bad enough that we have to get a damn license to carry in a practical manner.

I guess I've been brainwashed into thinking that carrying a gun is a privilege not a right even though it's plainly written in our Constitution. Thanks for straightening me out on this one.

You're right. I always looked at it more about owning guns, not carrying them concealed which I guess is pretty stupid. But It's already Infringed. I never seen anything in the Constitution about felons that served their time not being able to own a firearm.

Extremely important point that is often forgotten. Look at Ohio with its state-approved training program. So much for rights! Then look at Vermont. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe all they have to do is show the gun shop owner that they can load, unload, use the safety. Viola! You can CC!

I used to live in VT you just buy the gun and carry it, that was 5 yrs ago so it may have changed.

NO mandatory training....Yes I can go buy a gun get a license and carry without ever firing it. IMHO it would be irresponsible to not have or search out training but we don't need the government to mandate thier training onto us.
As responsible gun owners it is up to us to get the training and experience to handle our firearms. Although I know not everyone will seek out training it is available to us.

Carrying a gun is a huge responsibility and you need to know what you are doing. Letting the government decide that for me . . . absolutely NOT, for all the reasons mentioned.

Since this is PA, in addition to Amendment II to the US constitution we also have Article I Section 21 of the PA Constitution:

"The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned" [Bold is mine].

CCW is for some a tactical choice in self defence. It's bad enough you need an LTCF (which could be construed as unconstitutional), don't give up any more of that right by allowing them to require training.
