Please tell me you are NOT looking to participate in one of these "buy back" programs. Seriously.

If you are, I implore you to reconsider, as it defies all logic.

A GUN OWNER on a GUN FORUM asking for someone to HELP SUPPORT AN ANTI-GUN PROGRAM driven by GUN-HATING POLITICIANS?

You may as well send a check to the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence while you are at it and put anti-gun stickers on your car.

Go here to read more about how you can end gun violence. They have a link to help you turn in your guns.

I bet Stunner is thinking along the same lines as me... that is buying up at a fair price from those who are intending turning theirs in.

I'm also going to give UnrealStunner the benefit of the doubt by assuming he's not turning in any of his guns.

maybe he's looking to compete with it I can't see how any user with 13 reps could consider a buy back program.

You have no idea how many times I've read members of this forum state that they have broken guns they would turn in for a gift card. Just as many have made the suggestion to others posting about some piece of shit handgun they bought in the 70s.

It's not an intentional slap in the face to gun owners, but I doubt they see the "support" that it gives to those who wish us disarmed.

Ever heard the phrase "If it gets just ONE gun off the streets, the program is worth it"?

That's where I'm coming from here.

ETA: until the OP posts a reply, I stand by my earlier statement:
If I am wrong in my assumption, please accept my apologies.
If I was correct, please consider the info above before HELPING those who would like nothing more that to see ALL of us unarmed.
Also, many, many people read without posting, so perhaps my question will cause someone to re-think things they had not considered before.

Would it be OK to turn in a couple zip guns?

I agree with EmptyMag . . . but figured that since he had 51 posts and 13 rep it was just asking rather than looking to turn one in
