Default OC/CC through a few states...

Well we drove down to Virginia again this week. Stopped in Breezewood, drove through Maryland, cut through West Va. onto Virginia. Stopped for gas twice, ate twice, OC every where outside of the vehicle. Not one sideways glance did I notice, but one of the kids said alot of people stared at me...??? We sat in and ate our meals and noone cared, at least not enough to call police or run screaming.
a little bragging, my oldest son of 17 was accepted into Fork Union Military Academy,(FUMA) Fork Union Va., a college prep, so his parents are proud.

Just curious, what do you do when you get to MD?

Congrats on the Son getting accepted to FUMA. Nothing wrong with bragging, I am certain a lot of hardwork went into him

Be safe (and remember, when it is true, it is boasting ).

First let me say congrats to your son!
It is amazing how no one in VA goes running and screaming when they see your firearm isn't it? I guess they haven't gotton the word that guns are evil and they need to protect the children.
I have traveled to VA and TN quite a bit the past couple of months and have oc'ed and cc'ed in both states (looking for property there). Although I haven't seen anyone else oc'ing in the Bristol VA/TN area the people that have noticed me have not made any comment at all. It seems that they just take it "as a matter of fact" that it is nothing special or scary.
The only thing that bugs me is when traveling down 81 I have to stop before the MD border and secure my firearm. I lock the pistol up to a bracket under my back seat and lock the ammo in the back of my pick up unti I get to WV.

When we went for the interview his only question was where's the rifle range, they have a rifle team, he wants a shot, pun intented, at making the team!
Its good they still consider that a sport.

Virginia's a great state in my opinion. Glad you enjoyed your trip and congratulations to your family.
