My new (very hard to find) 870 Police Marine Magnum
Well here it is. Even after I was told they don't exist, I now own one. A Remington 870 Police Marine Magnum. Now before anyone calls shenanigans, this is the real deal. Model number 25047. It differs from the standard MM (model 25012) in that it is a true 870 Police so it gets the Police treatment like all other 870 Police models, has the aluminum alloy trigger guard, no MIM parts, rifle sights and the Speedfeed LE stocks. I had my FFL look for one of these and he told me his LE distibutors told them there is no such thing and that the 25012 is the only MM available. I contacted Remington LE and they confirmed that indeed they are 2 separate beasts and noted the differences for me. I got this little gem NIB from a FFL in Florida.

Very nice!
I like the contrast of the nickel and synthetic.
My friend just bought a Remington supercell recoil pad for my 870, and the difference is night and day!
3" 00 buck now feel like birdshot.
Something you may want to look into.

Re: My new (very hard to find) 870 Police Marine Magnum
He he, I know most people will just be like "wow...ah yeah its a marine magnum, chill dude." But I am excited about it. I really wanted a MM but I wanted the extra quality of the police 870s.
Anyway, bro you can't have mine but they do exist. I am sure some FFL out there can find you one. I came across this one and snatched it up but I bet someone out there knows where to get you one of these. I just didn't feel like looking anymore considering my FFL normally can get me anything I ask for so I was a little suprised when he told me it was a no go. They still argued with me tonight when I picked it up that it wasn't any different. So they took MM they had in the shop and compared them and finally said yeah its def different maybe it is a discontinued model..ha ha. I assure they're not discontinued, well at least not for 2009.

Nice. Needs a sling and a Sidesaddle, then it would be perfect. Unless you also want to add the recoil-absorbing stock.

Re: My new (very hard to find) 870 Police Marine Magnum
$725. You can get the standard MM for $630-670 OTD but I didn't mind paying the extra for the upgraded police model since that's what I wanted.
Let me know if you find more cause I may be interested in a second one if the price is right.Last edited by cyclops24; September 2nd, 2009 at 09:35 PM.

Wow.
Would you mind listing the differences between that and the typical MM? I'm really curious, and that is a very nice shotgun!

Very nice. I have a 870 Marine Magnum that was a FL Dept of Wildlife turn in. Is there a way to tell if its LE version?
