    Thanks for all the compliments.

I can post the email I received from Remington LE when I get home but the differences are:

25012 870 MM- Regular 870 express production base gun, sport Stocks, bead sights, polymer trigger guard, MIM parts such as the extractor.

25047 870P MM - 870 Police gun, SpeedFeed II stocks, rifle sights, aluminum alloy trigger guard, no MIM parts, heavy duty springs and few other small tidbits.

Basically the police guns get special attention ie all parts are visibly inspected and they are put together in a special area of the Remmy plant by a dedicated team. They also receive buffing and any tool mark removel prior to finishing to ensure a smooth action. The following link with outline the differences. http://www.remingtonmilitary.com/art...Pol6-30-05.pdf

I almost bought one of those FWC trade in 870MMs but the guy wanted $600 and I heard they went for $350. Then I found this one NIB. No where on my gun does it say police the only true giveaway are the rifle sights. Yes the stock is different but anyone can slap a set of the Speedfeed II stocks on a MM. The only way to really tell is by the order number on the box 25047. I am sure you could contact Remmy with the serial number and they could tell you.

Here is a link to the 2009 Remington LE price list that shows all the models. Not all models are shown on their site remingtonle.com.

I would've grabbed 2 at that price. I wish I would have known.

Not that is matters now but I should have noted it was from Surplus City in Feasterville, PA. Anybody in this area should be checking them out at least once a month.

I heard they had them and I called and they said that it was a long time ago. HA HA. It was worth a try.

For anyone that has a MM can you tell me what accessories you got with it? It should come with a padded sling and swivels and mine did not. I called Remington to confirm and they said that it should have come with the sling so they're sending me one. Now I am wondering if that will include the swivels or just the sling? I am assuming it is a sling assembly which includes the swivels but anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone out there can tell me what came in their box?
