    Default Please advise!

I was in Cabelas a few weeks ago to restock my ammo locker.

As I am gong past the used rifle rack I have to stop and wait for someone to take a picture of someone holding a rifle.
Flash. As soon as the picture is taken he puts the rifle back, grabs another and stands at attention holding it across his chest as another picture is taken. Now I am growing curious as he grabs a 3rd rifle and assumes the position. I see that the pictures are being taken by a woman in Indian garb. Two piece wrap around with flabby midriff exposed, red dot on forehead and a pierced nose. Guy is in brown dress pants and shirt buttoned up to the collar. He is also Middle Eastern looking. I watch them take about seven pictures as the absurdity of what they are doing sinks in. I try to get my son to take a picture of them taking pictures but he won’t. I shake my head and continue on my way.

As I pass the display case I stop to lust after a .50 cal. Over my shoulder I hear a female voice say “we sure could use that against the zombies.” “Zombies!” I laugh to my self and turn around to see a guy and girl half my age having a chuckle.

I again shake my head and go on my way. I did not find much of what I was looking for but enough to keep going for a couple or trips to the range.

The first checkout line I step up to I see 3 old guys with a shopping cart full to the brim with boxes of .223! These guys were at least 10 years past retirement and I have no idea how many boxes of 223 it takes to fill a cart full but I figure the 3 of them must have pooled their social security checks to afford that.

I shake my head and decide not to wait behind them and go to another cashier.

Now that I have had ample time to reflect on my day I don’t know weather I should be amused or disturbed.

    Please advise!

Sounds like a great day to me. You got to see what I would guess would be tourist from India getting to hold a firearm for the first and last time in his life and wanting a picture to prove it. You got to see a couple of old timers stocking up on ammo and you had a zombie conversation going on in the background. Whats wrong with that?

Discussions on appropriate zombie defense weapons and ammunition is always a pertinent topic in any gun store.
