Looks good! Any reason you went with the long tube red dot over a micro?

I love my Romanian AK. People can say whatever they want!

Can I ask one special request? I really would like to see how the meprolight night sights look in dim light. Try to get an idea how bright they are. (They are on my next list.)

I went with that aimpoint because I had it sitting in a drawer and didn't want to take out a loan on a T-1 micro I'll try to get a pic of the night sights for you and get them up ASAP.

Your Ultimak is installed wrong. Loosen it and split the gap that is up front... You should have equal spacing front and rear. Easy fix...

Here is a pic of two of mine you should be able to see the proper spacing in a couple of the pics. Notice the spacing on both sides, its hard to see unless you look for it!

It's tough to see from my pics but I do have an 1/8th of an inch between the rear of my mount and the rear sight base. The instructions say to have it neither all the way forward or all the way back and it seems to be working nicely when I cycle it by hand. Can you tell me what can go wrong with the way I have it? I'm just curious if I'm not touching the rear sight base isn't it still free floated? Just curious

It very well could be the pics... In the pics it looks like there is a lot more space up front than in the rear. As long as you have it mounted on the GB enough you should not have any cycling issues. If it is to far off it wont create a seal to trap the gas to drive the piston... Could just be the pics, if it runs I wouldn't worry about it...

I checked out the video on the ultimak website that shows them using the M7-B(short tube) on AK that should have the M1-B(long tube) it had a huge gap at the gas block and still ran like a charm. So I guess I should be good to go. I'll post a range report.

Excellent! It is a simple adjustment if you need to, so don't worry about it.

Gosh, that looks like fun to shoot.

How do you like the Aimpoint 7000SC red dot sight?
