    Default pistol question?

Am looking for a 9mm pistol that has a small grip but not sub small. I was looking at the xd compact, mp compact, glock 19. I don't know who else makes a small grip size pistol. But who has one of these and which one do you like better? pros vs cons on them.

check out my review of the 709 Slim on page 2 or 3 here. It didn't get much love (probably because it's a Taurus )

I think of it as kind of between a sub-compact and compact. You can get your pinky on the grip with the mag in... but I find it more comfortable to leave it underneath.

I chose that over a Kahr K9 i go in a trade which had an amazing grip and feel to it, but it was just a tad heavy for my purposes.

How do you intend to use this gun?

I have the G19, and although it has a lot going for it, the grip is not small. I would reccomend one to anyone, but not because it has a small grip.

I have a Glock 19. When I bought it I also fondled the XD and the MP compact and honestly they all felt good to me. The nice thing about those three guns is that it's easy to find a dealer who sells all three so you can compare side by side.

If you're interested in a metal gun I've heard very good things about the ergonomics of the CZ-75 P-01 and have been checking it out but haven't yet found a place locally where I could handle one. Sig 239 is very compact but is a single stack mag so it only holds 8 shots. Sig 228/229 are a little larger but I'd still consider them compact.

The three guns you picked are all really good, reliable, reasonably priced, quality guns. I recommend seeing which one fits your hand better, also which trigger you like best and buying that one. Even better if you can either rent or find someone to let you shoot theirs.

not to sure about the quality lately, but look at the Walther PPS

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

I will be carring this pistol concealed, I was also thinking about the sig p-229 but the cost factor is making me look at the others more. I don't know if spending that much and not leaving extra cash for ammo or not.But still undecided.

Yep. May not be the smallest grip, but its certainly small enough for most small hand..
