Default Traveling to NC - looking for advice

Hello - I read the stickied thread, but I'm still unclear on a few particular points. I'm wondering if anyone has specific experience based on similar travel.

I will be traveling to NC for a few days. While I'm in NC, is is lawful for me to CCW, given my possession of a PA LTCF?

While I'm en route, traveling through VA, WV and NC, do I need to take any special precautions? I understand my rights under the federal interstate transportation law. But specifically for VA, WV and NC, can I CCW while en route?

Thank you very much for any information you may be able to share.

I found this page, which suggests NC has a reciprocity agreement with PA:

Your PA LTCF is accepted in WV, VA and NC.

Just note...NC has restrictions that PA doesnt as far as where is prohibited...

I apologize for starting a potentially needless thread. For the sake of anyone else who may ever be traveling to North Carolina via Virginia and West Virginia, I will add the following links:

    West Virginia reciprocity:

    http://www.wvago.gov/gunrecep.cfm

    Virginia reciprocity:

    http://www.vsp.state.va.us/Firearms_Reciprocity.shtm

It looks like all of these states have full reciprocity with PA, and CCW is legal for PA LTCF holders both while traveling and visiting.

I'm not sure you would hit it from Pittsburg, but double check that you are not driving through that tiny little sliver of MD tha runs along the bottom of PA.

That's great advice - but fortunately our route does not go that way!

Yes, on 81 you will go though Maryland. If I remember correctly it is only about 10 miles before you are back out of Maryland, but you do have to go though it.
