EAST STROUDSBURG (AP) -- Federal immigration authorities arrested 81 illegal immigrants at a tube manufacturing plant in the Poconos.


All 81 workers arrested in the raid Tuesday at Iridium Industries Inc.'s Artube division have been placed in removal proceedings for eventual deportation, said Ernestine Fobbs, a spokeswoman with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The immigrants, who are from Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia and Ecuador, were taken to ICE detention centers for processing, she said.

Ms. Fobbs declined to say what led ICE agents to raid the plant.

The company makes plastic squeeze tubes for lotions and other consumer products, according to its Web site.

Any government powerful enough to effectively deport 12,000,000 people, many of whom are productively employed, may also be powerful enough -- and will DEFINITELY be arrogant enough -- to try to seize your firearms, too, while they're at it.

That is the thing, the government will never be able to deport 12 million people. I will try to find figures but my bet is more then 3/4 of the illegal aliens are not committing crimes. Those are the only illegals I am terribly concerned about. I guess in general those are the only people I am worried about.

Yes "illegals" should be deported, no matter what their nationality is. I know this opinion goes against what others think.

I take it that if someone breaks into your home and sits down at your table uninvited it is ok by you.

I doubt that... Most of us here would probably shoot the intruder or at least hold them their till the police arrive.

To me there is no difference between my home and my country. You break the laws and get caught you pay the price.
