Default Looking for gunsmith in south central - central PA.

I got my NFA paperwork back and I can now shorten my SAIGA 12. However, I really want the barrel threaded so I can put the brake back on the end. The equipment to do it myself is currently backordered so I thought I would see if I could find someone in the area who could do it.

The Saiga is going down to 12.5 inches.

Give Backwoods Outfitters a call. They are located in Columbia Pa. I had some work done by them on my 1911 and I could not be happier with the work and the price. Others out here have given them good reviews as well. I hope they can help. Let us know how you make out.

Just across the river... I found them on Mapquest. Thanks! I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if they can hook me up. It shouldn't be too difficult to lop off the end of a barrel and put on some threads.

You also might want to try:

    Shupps Gunsmithing

I've been to his shop, but haven't had a chance to do business with him yet. I only mention him because I have only heard the best reviews of his work.

Biggest issue you're going to run into is finding somebody with a 22x.75 metric tap.
