KVAR solid side folder on fixed RomAK?
I currently have a Romanian AK 47 with KVAR / Bulgarian style poly furniture. It's a fixed stock. I've been debating the folding stock idea for quite some time. I recently picked up an AMD-65. And the wire folder on this one I think I like more than the other wire folders... but...
After going back to the "work" gun... AKA the one with the light on it. I really prefer having a rifle with a full sized stock. But how great would it be to have it fold! And to the left no less, so it's not on top of the damn safety!
So what do I need to do? I'm thinking I have to drill out the rear trunion rivet heads and pull the Romanian fixed stock w/tang rear. And replace it with... the appropriate Bulgy side folding trunion? And notch the receiver for the folding mechanism like my AMD but on the left side?
And probably run another rivet through the bottom?
Next would be finding all of that... KVAR is out of them at the moment.
Any insight is extremely welcome. Is the AK74 receiver different in the back end that I need to be concerned?
Any insight welcome.

EFF me running...
They are like the skeleton folding stocks. In fact they are direct replacements.
So no dice then... ? Any visuals for me so I can see the physical differences? I'm no 74 buff. Haven't done the dirty with the 5.45 stuff yet.
