AK training with 7.62 x 39 blanks
Been getting really interested in some serious training (such as fast reload etc) with the AK and I wondered how effective it would be with 7.62 x 39 blanks. I wondered if the blanks cycle a Yugo action?
Tootie and I (and maybe a friend - if I can find him a good deal on an AK next weekend) want to start doing some training on our own before the AK training d90king does and I thought this might be the best way to start AND we can train here without any chance of breaking any laws.
Oh and BTW, anyone seen a better price on blanks than $30 per 100 .. seems kind of high.

Well first I'd go looking for a BFA for your Ak (do they even exist?) otherwise it'll be all bolt action no matter what blanks you use.
ETA: Indeed they do!

You need a blank firing device and they sometimes don't create a sufficient seal for adequate pressure to build.

Forget the blanks. Forget the self-training. Try to be patient until you attend the class.

A few different places offer them. Vickers, TonyF, and I'm sure a few others too.
It'd be a good investment for folks who use AK's as their go-to rifle.
DC, I'd not worry about running the reloads. Certainly not with ammo in the magazines.
d90king and I have no intention of going over anything complicated or "high-speed"...

This is what we are talking about and again my wanting to do this has nothing to do with the class. I've been watching some fast reloading videos on YouTube and wanted to 'work on it' along with Tootie
