Default What about CCW in libraries, non-schools, etc.?

My daughter is going to be taking some summer classes -- drawing, piano, etc.; at schools which are not regular "elementary" type schools. Would CCW be allowed there or is that still considered a 'school'?

    Also, what about public libraries?

If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is arround to hear it, does it still make a sound???
By no means am I endorsing breaking any law whatsover, but concealed does mean concealed

Concealed means concealed unless a detector is present. In a library they could be scanning for a hidden tag so books aren't stolen or for a weapon.

They're not elementry schools, they're in a whole different tax bracket.

Meaning that I can legally carry or I can't?

Why not call the Sheriff and ask? It beats running into a problem and saying, "but the guy on the Internet said it would be OK."

Remember to beware of free advice.

A private art studio or dance studio would not be considered a school. Therefore legal for a LCTF. If the instruction takes place in a school building, even during theummer, then you may not carry.

There is no exception to LTCF for public libraries, as long as they are not part of a school. I have never seen a definitive answer whether a university or college is considered a "school" for which a LTCF is prohibited. I say yes just to be safe. So the library cannot be part of a university or college that is open to the public.

    Other prohibited places:
    Courthouses
    State Parks
    Federal Buildings

The Sheriff is the very LAST person you should ask.

Read the code and/or ask an attorney

    Why?

And why should I pay a lawyer for a simple answer when my tax dollars have already covered it?

    Why?
Most of the time they don't have a clue and the default answer would be of course you can not carry there.
