I think prices are slowly coming down as the supply / availability is increased. Stripped lowers are almost at the prices before Obamamania took over and they can be found just about anywhere.

I haven't really noticed that new handgun prices are coming down, but I don't think that they went up all that much. They didn't go crazy like the EBRs and AKs did anyway.

Ammo prices seem to be coming down a bit as availability is increasing. I don't think we'll see $5.99 per 50 round box of 9mm again, but hopefully it'll come down bellow $9 or $10.00 per box.

Was in a sporting goods store in Stroudsburg, PA just yesterday poking around the gun department. There was a rack with at least a dozen or so AR type rifles. All sorts of AK variants were to be seen too. Asked the gun salesman as to supply and demand for firearms. He said that up until the late spring, the selling was at a frenzy. It slowed way down but now is starting to pick up again.

There some items showing up on sale like those oddball looking Bullpup things.

Would expect that when the next major economic crash or White House contrived crisis hits, gun sales and prices will again increase.

Prices for guns stayed pretty sane at the shop I use most, but of course he couldn't keep anything in stock with those sane prices. His ammo is a bit more than Walmart, but he can't always get the cheaper ammo--he's got to make a living so he can't sell ammo that's more expensive to him for the same prices as the less expensive stuff.

That said, he's had more semi automatic rifles in stock as of late; a couple even stick around a few weeks at a time. I have noticed he seems to be moving a lot of smaller pistols in comparison to everything else still. But again, sane prices help him move things quickly while a lot of other shops around are gouging at least a bit taking advantage of the extremely high demand.

I think in a few months, by the latest next year, you'll be able to buy up never-been-fired AR-15s on the cheap.
