Moon Clips or a Speed loader and why?

This was discussed recently in another thread, don't remember which one.

It was said the moon clips would be good for competition shooting but may bend out of shape too easily in a pocket so wouldn't be good for back up rounds in self defense carry.

I carry speed loader's for my SP101 .357, there was no real reasoning in my decision but the above makes me feel better about carrying them.

Agree with Soberbyker on that one. You practice enough loading and unloading a speed loader will feel quite fine on your side.

I prefer speedloaders and a 2x2x2 pouch for partial reloads.

I am not handicapped wiyhout a speedloader but you will be if you don't have moon clips.

I like speedloaders, speedstrips and loose ammo. I have no guns the could use clips, and doubt I'd own any that would.

I just got another revolver, the first one I brought I shot it a few times to see how it handles and its a gun that sits in the drawer JIC and does not ever leave the house. Now I got my 2nd and I bought a speedloader but idk if I like it because when you lock the round in the speedloader and then go to put them in the cylinder you have to hold the cylinder and then twist the knob on the speed loader. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I don't see the "speed" part of it.

It's an HKS speedloader. Is there any out there that has a button release? or something easier than what I have?
