    Default Sig 556 Optics?

I'm looking for a scope to put on my Sig that will allow me to still use the iron sights. I need some magnification for my old eyes past 50yds. The rifle came with the CQB Halo sight, I pulled it off after the first trip to the range. I don't have a ton of money to put into a scope now so what are my options. Options with pictures of your setup would be great. Thanks

You can try to run some rings that raise the scope up high above your irons, or you can run a quick-detach mount, and pop the optic off when you want to use irons.

There are a lot of different optics offering different options, magnifications, weights, prices, sizes, etc...

Just have to figure out what you need for your rifle.

for about $250 you can get the millett 1-4x scope.. for $300 you can get a leupold vxII 1-4x... for $99 you can get a bushnell banner 1-4x...

but those would have to be on a QD mount to use your iron sights...

At the end of the day, I don't know of any magnification that can be sitting on the rifle and still allow you to use the irons unless one of them is canted out of the way.

    eta: there's also the leupold 1.5-4x Mark AR scope too - http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-...ope-67170.html - $280

Thanks, I figured it would have to be a QD which would be ok. MT - those scopes are in my price range, thanks for the list, I will start to check them out.
