Re: Kel-tec PF9 and Customer Service Reliability Review
Someone on the KTOG forum has them for sale, very overpriced though. Then again, he's got a corner on the market...
The metal magazine release shouldn't be an issue either because if you depress the button while inserting a magazine, it won't wear the plastic.
There's a reason why these are $275 firearms vs. your Glocks or Springfield XDs - the finishing just isn't done on the Kel-Tec. Do some simple polishing and filing after you've read up on how/where to do it and I bet that you will see an improvement.

Re: Kel-tec PF9 and Customer Service Reliability Review
wow...that sucks. my brother has a PF9, and the only problem it's had is with heavier grain rounds. he's put hundreds of rounds through it, and it's only ever jammed 4 or 4 times. i had a P3AT, and it never jammed, ever. Keltec's got kick ass customer service; i'm sure they'll take care of you.

Re: Kel-tec PF9 and Customer Service Reliability Review
I hear you, I should have been more thorough with my description...but I was about to be late for work and didn't want to waste anyone's time. I did clean the firearm, as well as smooth the feed ramp and rails with some 600grit, at about the same time I was carving the mag follower into a more useful shape.
Sorry if I caused any undue stress with my lack of completeness.

Re: Kel-tec PF9 and Customer Service Reliability Review
Where does one get metal mag followers for a PF-9? I did the "shave the corner" bit, but it still doesn't always release the empty mag (plus it just bugs me).
Thanks
(For the record, though, I really like mine other than this issue.)

Re: Kel-tec PF9 and Customer Service Reliability Review
Oak,
I've been told that you can get them from the mothership(Kel-tec), and when i called and asked about it last thursday the man that I talked to didn't "set me straight" when i said i wanted to order them while kel-tec had my gun. He also seemed to believe that they have metal mag releases. The sad part of our conversation is that he told me when kel-tec got to my gun they would call me. They have had the gun for a week tomorrow, and I have heard no reply. I'm not sure how long this kind of thing takes, but if I don't hear anything by next week I'm going to call them back to see what stage the order is in.
Hope this helps

Re: Kel-tec PF9 and Customer Service Reliability Review
Hey guys, bad news. If you are waiting to see what happens with my new baby it is going to be a while. I called KT yesterday to see when I could expect them to call me about it. They said that their turn-around time is about 8 weeks, my gun has been in their hands for 2. Looks like I get to wait another month and a half to see if the gun works this time. When I know more I will let everyone know.
