    Default Concealed Carry Questions

I'm in the navy and i am stationed in VA. I was wondering how old you would have to be to receive a concealed carry card for PA? i found an article on the internet stating that VA would recognize a PA carry card. I have a pistol through my parents gifting it to me. I am currently 19 years old and just wondering. Thank You for your time in helping me with this.

You need to be 21, and have a license/permit from your home state to get a PA NR LTCF.
21, and have a residence to get a Res. LTCF.

Some states do have reciprocity, that issue at 18........

In Pa you need to be 21 years old to carry a concealled firearm. There are exceptions though. The law does not pertain to military or law enforcement. Most states will only issue to folks 21 and over, and even if a state recognizes another states ccw license, you would still have to abide by their laws, including age limmitations

I don't know what the regs are currently in the Navy but I doubt that the bases would honor any license. The Navy likes to keep their arms locked up and doesn't have much tolerance for any old sailor just walking around with a gun on base or ship.

If he as a 19 year old were to get a VA license, or other license that PA honors - he can carry concealed in PA.

PA's law only say you have to be 21 yo get a LTCF, it doesn't say that those under 21 cannot conceal. Even PA's own Sportsmans Permit allows concealing a handgun while doing such sporting activities and it is issued to those 18yo or older.
