New Purchase at the shop.

I went to the shop today to make my purchase. I was set on a 1911 but after looking in the case I started thinking.

I was all set on the Kimber when I started thinking about ammo and started to look around. After feeling up some of the guns it actually came down to the Sig 226 or the 229 but ended up with the 229 because I want to carry. It was a little expensive but I got a good deal on ammo after the fact. Im very pleased with the purchase. I haven't been able to shoot it yet but I hope to later this week.

The only thing I need now is a good holster.

Congrats on the 229-today marks the 1 week aniversary of my 229 in 40 S&W. One range visit & it is now my favorite pistol. Enjoy!
PS Did yours come with 1 mag or 2? I only got 1 but called Sig & they gave me a two-fer one deal on magazines. I do understand their shipping is a bit high but it's still better then buying 2 locally.

Yea unfortunately only came with one magazine. Ill try Sig to see if I can get in on that deal. How much did the two mags and shipping come too? Does Anyone else know of any good places that I can find some P229 mags???? I'd like to grab 2 or 3 more.

Can't go wrong with a Sig. My sister has a P229 and loves it. I have a P225, so does my old man, we both love them. Great guns all around.

By the by...I received my 2 P229 40 S&W mags today from Sig total with shipping was $44. So they cut you a little bit of a deal if you call & complain about only getting 1 with the pistol.
