I will be willing to get certified and RO. assuming the class would be on a weekend (Sunday would be better).

I can if need scratch together the $75.

do you have an idea on location?

on another note does getting RO certification take any liability off of you if someone gets hurt?

Good. Then put me down as a definite.
I'd been wanting to do this anyway, so I may as well do it with some cool people.

    Count me in.

I haven't ROd at the shoots since I've never really been one to get in front of a crowd and shout out orders, but I'm willing to do what's necessary to see these shoots continue.

If the cost of the class can be subsidized to some degree with donations that's wonderful, but if not I should be able to swing the full cost as well.

As was noted in the other thread there is some discussion going on over at the PMSC forum about this, and the issue of a lack of certified ROs has been raised. It would be great if the actual class could be hosted at PMSC, but we'll see how it plays out.

You all need to rep this guy for his generous offer.( I'll have to spread it around first)

I'll follow his lead and donate another $20 to an RO fund.

See everyone, It's getting cheaper by the post.

Great idea. Just a thought, but how any people are you averaging for the shoots. Would people be willing to pay $10 at the next shoot instead of the usual $5 for non-PMSC members? The extra $5 could go towards offsetting the cost of the course.

I believe that you'd need to keep monies separate, as the $5 fee goes to PMSC, and since PMSC isn't responsible for paying for anyone to become certified... well, there isn't much sense in doing that.

Also note that a decision regarding fees needs to be made by the PMSC board, not by people who are not members of the club.

Yeah, I didn't explain that too well did I? I meant the extra $5 could go towards the RSO class. I wouldn't expect PMSC to give up their guest fee.
