Re: Regola defense fund
Think I need more info. before making that decision.
His attorney claims it is regarding having a loaded gun in the house.
The paper seems to claim it is regarding his son keeping a loaded gun in his bedroom.
Which is it?
Was the gun taken by the neighbor or given to him.
A lot of blank spaces in that article.
PS
If gets off the hook criminally he surely will get screwed in a civil suit.FUCK BIDEN

Re: Regola defense fund
It's this.
The paper seems to claim it is regarding his son keeping a loaded gun in his bedroom.
D.A. also claims inconsistency in his testimony and statements he made to PSP investigators.
I've posted on the matter of unauthorized access to a "dangerous instrumentality" and the courts view that "extraordinary care" must be exercised so that items such as firearms don't fall into the wrong hands.
The criminal charges notwithstanding, you're correct that he is screwed big time in the civil case that is sure to follow.

Re: Regola defense fund
Just from what I have read, and admittedly we know not the facts involved, it appears that Regola has dug himself a pretty good hole.
IMHO, the lawyer is now trying play the "gun card" by making this a gun ownership. If he is such a good friend of the defendant, then why doesn't he provide the legal services for free.
All that aside, it will be a cold day in hell when I DONATE money to a lawyer and politician!

Re: Regola defense fund
Last night at a meeting of one of the local sportsmen's clubs the subject was brought up during the new business portion of the meeting. It appears to be the opinion of some of the members that this could trial is a threat to keeping guns in the home and the ability of minors to practice with firearms. The executive committee will be considering making a donation to the defense fund. It will be voted on next month.
Regola is a freshman senator from Westmoreland County who is vocally pro 2A.Never underestimate the value of early training.
