Re: Utah Permit class
I'm in Pittsburgh August 5 through 25.
Pending your availability, you could take the last open class seat for this Saturday. If $$$ is a concern due to the short timeline, I can work with you.
For example, you could postdate your course fee check a pay period or so.
Email me as outlined below for details.
Info below is copied from an existing thread:
"Pittsburgh Region" >>>
"UTAH Permit Course - AUGUST - Pittsburgh area - PAFOA discounts"
++++++++++++++++++++
Info follows for those interested in obtaining a Utah Concealed Firearm Permit.
Details on the benefits of the Utah CFP are available on my website (listed below) and in previous threads under this forum heading.
Please review the following information carefully.
Please be certain to format your reply _EXACTLY_ as outlined below.
Replies _must_ be via email as outlined below.
A limited number of slots exist for each of the following AUGUST dates:
(remaining slots updated via edit / accurate as of time of edit shown below)
-- Sat Aug 8 - DATE CLOSED / CLASS FULL
-- Sun Aug 9 - DATE CLOSED / CLASS FULL
-- Sat Aug 15 - 1 slot remains open
-- Sun Aug 16 - DATE CLOSED / CLASS FULL
-- Sat Aug 22 - 1 slot remains open
-- Sun Aug 23 - - DATE CLOSED / CLASS FULL
I am pre-booked most _weekdays_ Aug 5 through 25 but I can move or combine some of these classes.
If you are interested in a weekday session or a session split over two
weekdays I _may_ be able to accommodate a minimum group size as small as 3 or 4. Suggest a weekday date during that range and I'll see what I can do.
As of now, I have 3 open dates in mid-September, 2 in early October,
_zero_ for November (big game hunting seasons = increased interest) and 4
for December. As I cover 9+ states and D.C. for the Utah program and other
training there is NO guarantee that these few remaining dates will be classes offered in PA.
Due to the unpredictability of winter travel, I commonly spend Jan / Feb
/ early March working the southern states out of my second home in
Virginia. Choosing a date now may allow you to avoid potentially being delayed until next spring.
Due to recent changes in the Utah course curriculum (the required minimum course outline has quadrupled in size) and the more than five fold increased expense of instructor renewal, the standard course fees as listed on my website have changed.
Standard course fees:
$90 for the 8 to 9 hr session
$13 fingerprinting service fee (same as if performed in house in Utah)
PAFOA _registered_ users and BRONZE paying members:
$85 course fee / fingerprinting service fee waived
You save $18
PAFOA _paid_ members SILVER level and up:
$75 / fingerprinting service fee waived
You save $28
Folks who were already on my wait list prior to this post may be
able to attend an August class at the course fee rate in effect when you first inquired about the course, provided you havent been offered and declined previous openings.
Other group discounts for select organizations are still in effect.
Email me for details.

-- group name and individual "screen" name if a member of a group for
which I may offer a discount program
PAFOA, WVCDL, VCDL, SCCC, Military (active), Military (disabled), LEO
(active & retired), PA State Constables
(example: PAFOA/BCI Instructor (Silver member)
-- phone / cell contact info

In order to ensure your privacy and to limit classroom and range
interruptions all telephone contact must be pre-arranged via email first.
General course information is available on my website:

Please be certain to review the "About the Course" page.
Email contact info exists on the website.
Classes will be held at my Pittsburgh area studio, located in Coraopolis
PA. Location is 1 1/3 miles from Interstate 79 exit 65, the Coraopolis /
Neville Island exit; enter zip code 15108-2060 into MapQuest.

Re: Utah Permit classes (Pgh area - August)
I'm unable to make the Aug 25th class. Do you know of any instructors in the Susquehanna county area? My work is sending me up there later this month for the next 4-6 months....

Re: Utah Permit classes (Pgh area - August)
the more "eastern" regions of PA are covered by an excellent fellow instructor, he posts as js1050 here on PAFOA
you may also send me an email via the contact info on my website and be placed on my email wait / notification list for future openings in Pittsburgh and as I travel (I cover 9+ states and D.C. for the Utah program and other training)
