    Question Las Vegas CCW

I reside in Las Vegas and I will be moving to Pennsylvania for about a year, and I was wondering if my CCW would work there, if not, what I need to do. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Pennsylvania does not honor a Nevada carry license. You have two options for getting a Pennsylvania license to carry a firearm (LTCF).
    1. Once you establish residency in Pennsylvania, you will simply fill out an application for a license to carry a firearm, go to your resident county Sheriff’s office (or the Philadelphia Police Department if you move to Philadelphia), pay them $25–46 (price depends on county), and wait up to 45 days for your license to be approved (many counties will issue immediately).
    2. Even before you move to Pennsylvania, you can apply for a non-resident Pennsylvania license to carry a firearm from one of the Pennsylvania counties that offer them, such as Centre County. The application process is the same, except that you will also have to supply a copy of your Nevada carry license. This non-resident license to carry a firearm will be good until it expires, and make it legal for you to carry in a manner that requires a license Pennsylvania before, during, and after your move.

You can find information such as license to carry a firearm application downloads, instructions, etc. at the various county websites listed at Pennsylvania County Information.

as a former Nevada resident I would do as recommended above download the application from the centre co sheriffs dept and get a non resident LTCF to cover you before & during the time you establish residency. Sheriff Nau is great guy and will process your application asap. Just have copies of your current Nevada carry permit and Nevada drivers license and it thats simple and cheap
