not really a hunting question
not really a hunting question but i figured this is a good a place as any too ask ,,just moved into pike ,milford..and noticed these holes in the ground,,anyone know what creature lurks ?

want to have fun ????
take a mayo jar that has a small neck on it. put some peanuts (in shells) at the back of the jar and sit it near the hole. the monks will go in fill their cheeks and cant get out. they dont know to spit them out , lolNo longer posting

my great uncle taught me that trick , lol. the hard part is getting them out without breaking the jar.

Could be voles also. If you see little runways eminating out and away from the holes, then you could have a vole problem. We are plagued with voles around here. Do a lot of damage to our gardens. I use mouse traps baited with peanut butter. I killed one so far this season, and 5 last year.
