    Default 200 yard handgun competition.

So a while back, I posted that I was attempting a 200 yard shooting spree with my Glock 17. It was a small bet involving some co-workers. Then I found this section and thought, "I'd like to see other people try it."

Frankly, it doesn't matter what size piece of paper, or target you use. Roughly 12x12 is proper. I believe I hit a 15X12 piece of paper. ANYWHO,

As were my rules.... You get 50 (fifty) shots, you may use a spotter, but that spotter is in no way allowed to relay where your bullets are hitting. You may not use optics, just your sights, and your eyes. With me, my spotter didn't tell me I hit it until the very end, but since you probably wont be doing it for a bet, I wouldn't waste the rest of your rounds if you hit it early. Unless of course you want to see how many times you can hit it out of 50.

I'll post a pic of what I did, and what target I used, but again it doesn't matter. As long as it's at 200 yards.

Watch yourself, the second pic is enormous. it's got writing.

As you can hopefully see, I only hit paper one time out of fifty. It was loads of fun, and now I'm anxious to see who will try it, and beat me. Good luck

you know the guys with contenders and AR Pistols are going to chime in here...
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

I think I might try this at the zombie shoot Saturday... I think that would be fun to try.

    I will post the results.

Dude! You SERIOUSLY need to resize those images down some ... I'm running a 1680 resolution and I and STILL have a sideways scrollbar!

Talk about WIDE SCREEN! (I'm assuming that is two 1600x1200s)

2560x1600 is working nice for me - Best $$ I ever spent on computer HW. Ain't nothing like desktop real estate...

Sometimes I rent space to my coworkers. My rates are cheap and fair. "Oh, whats that, you want to see that word document for a while, here I got room."

This competition will come in handy the next time a bad guy breaks into my 200-yard-long house and I want to shoot him first...

It's do able. I've done it.

Target is a little bigger than your sheet of paper, and the yardage is more like 150-175 yards, we think.....but it's doable.

We steped back and hit the same target a handful of times at 220 yards. We got it like once or twice a mag.
